This past year much of what I saw as self indulgent, I've come to realize is actually selfcare...naps, art journaling, reading, fasting, saying yes, saying no...this next year I want to normalize selfcare, honoring my body and soul in this chapter I've wrestled with so frequently.
I'm thinking of the word, "establish" for 2025. It's remarkably similar in my intention to the practice you have described. For me, "establish" suggests that I need to lay some foundations before I can expect something to grow and become big and visible to anyone else. In the past, I've been guilty of worrying too much about how something looks to others and less focused on establishing things for myself. Your post, as usual, gets me thinking more deeply. Thank you.
